Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at admin@fusioncompcrew.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Click the join us button and complete the form. Your child should be in a competitive program - travel baseball/softball, dance, cheer, hockey, golf, BMX, Motorcross - you get the idea! Unfortunately we can't fundraise for school sports. All schools have a 501(c)(3) and we don't want to steal volunteers from their efforts.

That's up to you! Once you register you will receive our handbook with info on the ServSafe Alcohol and Levy training certificates. Once you have those complete and uploaded you can sign up for any open events.

To be sure we are compliant with the IRS FCC does not publish grant amounts for any of our events. We have used data from the last few years to calculate an average rate for each property. If there are additional funds available at the end of each quarter they will be distributed to volunteers in the month following the end of the quarter.

Yes, Fusion Comp Crew is a registered 501(c)(3) organization, so your donation is tax deductible.

Fusion Comp Crew slang

The Bowl

Where the game is played and the fans watch. All the properties have a rule against volunteers going into the bowl to watch games or concerts.

Call time

Every opportunity has a call time posted. This is the time that you should be arriving at the check in desk at the stadium. Please allow ample time to get to the stadium, park and make your way in.

gates or doors

This is the time that doors or gates open to the public. All booths should be show ready half an hour before this time.

concessions

We use this term to mean any customer facing booth that we operate regardless of style - bar, market or food.

dark day or dark week

Any day that a property is not in public use. We occasionally volunteer to help on these days especially when a property has a quick turn of events. You will see this in posts as well - Gwynn usually goes dark those days too!

Hot box

A large refrigerator shaped box on wheels that we use to move food to the suites. These are moved by a team of volunteers - at no time should one volunteer move a box.

Hot push

This is what we call the food delivery to the suites at B of A Stadium. Volunteers move hot boxes around the stadium and deliver food to the suites. Once push is done you will report to your assigned stand. Dress code doesn't apply since this is done before gates.  This takes about an hour and half and there is an extra grant for this.
